DEPUTY MINISTER SEISO MOHAI VISITS BOTSHABELO INDUSTRIAL PARK

The Mangaung Youth Empowerment Programme, launched by Deputy Minister Seiso Mohai, aims to equip young people with the skills and resources needed to drive economic growth and innovation. The program kicked off with an interactive site visit to the Botshabelo Industrial Park, followed by the Mangaung Youth Expo, which brought together stakeholders from government, the private sector, and civil society to promote youth development, employment, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

The program's objectives include linking young people to education, skills development, and employment opportunities, equipping them with digital, financial literacy, and wellness tools, and promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in Mangaung Metro. The initiative also seeks to strengthen youth engagement in local economic development.

Deputy Minister Mohai emphasized the importance of enabling youth access to high-impact economic sectors, such as manufacturing, and encouraged young people to become innovators and job creators. The Free State Development Corporation (FDC) plays a critical role in supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs), which are vital for economic growth and development.
